Who We Are

Our faith mission

We pray that Faith Church will be a community of people who love God and each other, grow in Biblical knowledge, share the gospel and our resources, and praise God for who He is and what He has done so that we can carry on the work of Christ in proclaiming the gospel and being a light to the world.

How It Started

Our church history

Our church history reflects decades of faithfulness, service to our community, and growth together as a congregation.

Faith Church was born out of 18 people's desire for a Presbyterian, Reformed, Evangelical church in their area. This group, which regularly gathered for Bible study and prayer, began the church plant phase in 1983.

1983: A church plant team began meeting at Van Hoosen School.

1985: Dr. Wally Hostetter became pastor, and Faith Church was organized as an entity of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

1988: Faith Church moved to Adams High School.

1990: Faith Church planted Kensington Community Church in Troy, Michigan.

1994: Faith Church moved to Lutheran Northwest High School, and purchased 57 acres at the intersection of Silverbell Road and Lapeer Road later that year.

2001: Wally Hostetter resigned to begin a missions ministry, and Jerry Brundle stepped in as Acting Pastor.

• 2002: Jason Sewell was hired as Youth Pastor.

2003: Jerry Brundle became Senior Pastor.

2006: The church sold the 57-acre land parcel purchased in 1994 and purchased a 7.5-acre parcel on Hamlin Road. Design plans for a new church facility began that year.

2008: The current building opened for worship in December.

2014: Steve Sage replaced Jerry Brundle as Pastor.

2018: Jason Sewell was placed as Commissioned Pastor.

2024: Jason Sewell was ordained and installed as Lead Pastor in May.

2025: The church began hosting two worship services in September.
